Wedgewood Association Meeting

June 5, 2023
Call to Order: The meeting was called to order by Deborah McClintock at 7:00 PM.

Reading of the previous meeting minutes: The minutes of the meeting of 03/06/2023 were read.
Update: Mike Hyndman will oversee the message board in front of the neighborhood.
The minutes were approved and accepted by the voting members in attendance.
Officers Report
President’s report: The neighborhood garage sale was a success.
Treasurer’s report: The profit and losses statement was reviewed. The balances of the
checking, savings, and CD were reviewed. One unit has not paid association dues. The attorney is working out a payment plan with the resident.
Committee Reports
Architectural and Grounds Committee: Three properties had submissions that were
approved for fences. It is strongly encouraged to submit plans prior to starting any
improvements. The committee will plan to look at the bylaws and they will provide
recommendations for any changes as necessary.
Playground Committee: Umbrellas and stands were purchased for the playground for
$240.00. Jo Massaro provided an outline for a book nook with approximate dimensions. It would sit on a post and be cemented in the ground by the playground .
Mondays in the Park will start June 12 from 6pm-7pm. It will run every Monday through August 14, 2023. Volunteers interested in helping can contact Jo Massaro.
Communications: Recommendation was made by the committee to keep the Neighbors of Wedgewood Facebook page and to void The Wedgewood Place Homeowners Association Facebook page so that there are no longer two facebook pages to avoid further confusion. Recommendation was made to order 200 magnets through Vistaprint for residents. The magnets would include information for the association Facebook, website, and email. The cost for the magnets would be $58. The magnets would be sent out with the dues and assessment in September.
Landscape committee: The committee is working to maintain the landscaping at the front of the neighborhood. It is proposed to get a group of people together on a Saturday for a few hours for raking and clean up. The committee will work to make plans for improvements for next year.
New Business
July Budget meeting: There will be a meeting to discuss the budget for the next fiscal year on July 10 at 0700 pm at Aaron Barnholt’s (treasurer) residence.
There will be elections of board members at the next association meeting in September.
There will be an audit of the Wedgewood financial books by August 1, 2023.
The meeting was adjourned at 08:17 pm.
