Playground Committee: Jo Massaro would like to work with the nonprofit In Their Hands to create an area in the park for kids to read. It would have a picnic bench and table, umbrella, and a small structure for book storage. Estimated cost would be $400 for the picnic table, $280 for the book shelf plus $90 for the mounting hardware. The deadline to apply for the grant is March 23, 2023. The grant application would require showing community notice of improvements as well as cost estimates from three different businesses. It was motioned to hold off on applying for the grant to create the reading area until 2024 with the hopes of getting support and involvement from families and other community members. The motion was approved by a unanimous vote by the residents in attendance.
A motion was made to purchase two new red umbrellas, two new bases for the umbrellas, and a new cover for the play structure. The funds would come out of the line item from the budget.

Old Business:
Michelle Smith looked at prices to get magnets made for new residents. VistaPrint
offered 200 magnets for $58. They offered a variety of templates to create the magnet.
It was discussed having the communication committee look at the magnet design and
what information to include on it. Suggestions included website and facebook
information as well as P.O box information.
New Business:
We received an application for structural improvements for our addition. It is a cost-sharing grant. It was suggested looking into getting an irrigation system for the easement area that experiences a lot of flooding between Wood Meadows and Deerpointe. We had a favorable interest in having a Community Garage Sale. The date is set for June 3, 2023.
We have had a request to have a neighborhood directory. It was suggested sending a survey created by the communication committee with the Dues notice in September. The survey would give residents the option to opt in or opt out.
The message board in the front of addition will be overseen by Mike Gerbers.
It was suggested opening a CD with 3Rivers. A motion was made to use funds from the savings account to open a 13 month CD at 4.25%. It was approved by vote by residents in attendance.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:55 pm.
Meeting Schedule: June 5, 2023 and September 11, 2023 at St Joe Township Bldg at 7pm
